Making his rounds in New York last week, the enigmatic Pete Wentz (aka Mr. Ashlee Simpson) rocks it in his smoky black/grey jeans.  He does it 80s style with a pair of red retro shades, much like Ray-Bans.  The hooded jacket is the Emo boy's trademark look.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine To Inspire Macho Denim Looks

I never really paid attention to what casual clothes the X-Men superheroes wore in the movies, until I noticed a screen shot of Wolverine running around in a wifebeater tank top and bell bottom jeans. The jeans were tight around the thigh, and flared out below the knees.  I sort of thought that Wolverine was dressed that way, based on the era the scene took place.  I wasn't sure if I was crazy about that look, but Wolverine does look good in loose fitting jeans, as pictured above.  He still looks tough, macho and rebellious without being a fashion victim.  Would men around the world start paying better attention to Hugh Jackman's fashion choices, now that he's the Sexiest Man Alive?  Will young dudes start dressing like Wolverine, complete with the motorcycle jacket and large belt buckle?  Only time will tell.

By the way, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is slated to excite comic book and sci-fi fans alike in theaters on May 1, 2009.

Denim Therapy Wins Hayden-Harnett Gift Guide Contest

I am proud to say that my wacky rendition of a holiday gift guide garnered a winning spot in Hayden-Harnett's 2008 holiday gift guide contest.  There were five winners.  I was in a wacky mood, so that was my inspiration.  It was a chance to promote our beloved Denim Therapy, and the feeling is sweet!  I am also flattered, as there were pages and pages of fabulous submissions in Polyvore.  Maybe it was my twisted version of the "Piltdown Man," with the Hayden-Harnett owl coin purse charm "face"; the Ladurée style macaroons and Leonidas Belgian chocolates floating on their cloud luggage tags, that did the trick.  I was craving sweets (when am I not?).  Note the Citizens of humanity Riley Boyfriend Jeans.  Delish!
